The Northwest Arkansas Branch #60AC of the NAACP holds an annual Scholarship Luncheon to commemorate the chartering of the local branch and to award a scholarship to an individual who have demonstrated civic and social understanding and a commitment to the community.
The NWA Branch #60AC NAACP will be accepting applications for the 2018 NWA NAACP Scholarship. Eligible applicants shall be individuals (incoming freshmen, undergraduate, graduate or returning student) currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Northwest Arkansas or an individual living in Northwest Arkansas who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Applications must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org and received by October 5, 2018.
The NWA NAACP Scholarship shall be awarded annually at the NWA NAACP Scholarship Banquet. The scholarship will be disbursed in the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded. When finances are available, one-time academic year scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00, will be given to an individual currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Northwest Arkansas or who is living in Northwest Arkansas (Benton, Madison or Washington county).
